December 11, 2022: Call for submissions for the “Ljubomir Ljuba Petrović” award
In 2016, the Institute of Contemporary History established the “Ljubomir Ljuba Petrović” award, which is awarded in memory of a colleague who passed away prematurely to a student for the best master’s thesis in the field of general contemporary history and the history of Yugoslavia, defended in 2022.

On November 30, 2022, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, the doctoral dissertation on the topic “Yugoslavia and Bulgaria 1941-1945: between conflict and alliance” was defended by Institute associate Boris Tomanić.

Dr. Radmila Radić, scientific adviser of the Institute for Recent History of Serbia, held a lecture “The Macedonian case. Considerations on the possibilities of applying constructivist concepts of the nation”, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Institute of Contemporary History.
November 2022: Stanislav Sretenović on a scientific visit to Romania
Dr. Stanislav Sretenović, scientific advisor of the Institute for Contemporary History and manager of the project Multiethnic State and National Identities: the Serbian Experience in the 20th Century – SERBIE20, was in Romania at the end of October and beginning of November 2022.
September 26-30, 2022: Associates of the Institute on research in Ljubljana
As part of the bilateral project of the Institute for Contemporary History with the Study Centre for National Reconciliation from Ljubljana, Institute associates Bojan Dimitrijević, Dragomir Bondžić and Nebojša Stambolija were on a research stay in Ljubljana.
