On November 30, 2022, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, the doctoral dissertation on the topic “Yugoslavia and Bulgaria 1941-1945: between conflict and alliance” was defended by Institute associate Boris Tomanić.

Dr. Stanislav Sretenović, scientific advisor of the Institute for Contemporary History and manager of the project Multiethnic State and National Identities: the Serbian Experience in the 20th Century – SERBIE20, was in Romania at the end of October and beginning of November 2022.

As part of the bilateral project of the Institute for Contemporary History with the Study Centre for National Reconciliation from Ljubljana, Institute associates Bojan Dimitrijević, Dragomir Bondžić and Nebojša Stambolija were on a research stay in Ljubljana.
September 15-16, 2022: Cooperation agreement signed with the Faculty of Philosophy from East Sarajevo

Associates of the Institute participated in a scientific meeting at the Faculty of Philosophy in East Sarajevo. After the meeting, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Institute for Contemporary History and the Faculty of Philosophy in East Sarajevo.
July 13, 2022: Signed agreement on cooperation with the Study Centre for National Reconciliation

In the premises of the Institute, on July 13, an agreement on cooperation with the Ljubljana Study Centre for National Reconciliation was signed. On behalf of the two institutions, the agreement was signed by the director of the Study Center, Dr. Tomaž Ivešić, and the deputy director of the Institute for Contemporary History, Dr. Bojan Dimitrijević.

Ivana Pantelić, Research Associate at the Institute of Contemporary History, is member of the project team “Feminisms and Politics in the Interwar Balkans (1923-1939)”, acronym “F.E. P. I.B.” at the University of Crete, under the scientific supervision of Professor Aikaterini Dalakura.
