Library

The Library of the Institute for Contemporary History contains a unique collection of over 37,000 books and over 2,800 journals and magazines, primarily from the sphere of contemporary history. The library contains rare compilations of volumes published in the Former Yugoslavia during World War II.
Apart from its assortment book, the library has bibliographical catalogs and informational tools for studying the history of the 20th century.
The institute also has a documentation center, containing rare collections such as original sets of documents of the State Security Service, a collection of dossiers of prisoners from the penitentiary in Sremska Mitrovica, and microfiche collection from the National Archives in Washington. The Institute is in the process of digitalizing these holdings and transforming them into research tools in its Digital Center.
