January 19, 2023: The "Andrej Mitrović" award was given to Radosav Tucović, an associate of the Institute

The "Andrej Mitrović" award (Andrej-Mitrović-Preis) of the Michael Žikić Foundation (Michael-Zikic-Stiftung) is awarded every other year for excellent doctoral dissertations, which in the field of social sciences and humanities advance knowledge about Germany's relations with Serbia or Yugoslavia. Dr. Radosav Tucović, an associate of our institute, received the honor of being one of the two winners of the award for 2022. His doctoral dissertation, entitled "Police repressive apparatus of Nazi Germany and its domestic instruments: Analysis of the activities of Dragomir Jovanović and August Meyszner in occupied Serbia (1941-1944)", was defended at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, on December 17, 2021.
The award ceremony took place on January 19, 2023, in the premises of the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. On that occasion, in the presence of colleagues from the department for Southeast Europe of the University of Munich and Regensburg, the awards were presented to this year's winners. After that, the laureates presented their doctoral dissertations in the form of a presentation.
