DIGITAL CENTER

HISTORY IS INFORMATION ABOUT THE PAST, TRANSMITTED ACROSS GENERATIONS. THE ROLE OF A HISTORIAN IS TO TRACK AND CRITICALLY ANALYZE SUCH RECORDS.
THE RESULTS OF THIS SCRUTINY SHOULD BE COMMUNICATED TO SOCIETY USING THE BEST AVAILABLE MEDIUM

Digital center (DISI) is a digital component of the Institute for Contemporary History devoted to the up-to-date protection of our historical heritage and to its presentation to both the professional public and wider audiences.

The development of informational technologies has impacted enormously both the humanities and social sciences, setting them on a path of constant innovation. Along that path, the ICH created its Digital Center in early 2019. Its activity is modeled according to leading global practices and grounded in the implementation of standards promoted by the Ministry of Science and Ministry of Culture. Our team fulfils this mission through the creation of Portal (PISI), Repository (RISI) and Collections (KISI) of the Institute for Contemporary History.

We are committed to disseminate widely scholarly insights into the past, hence we are dedicated to the open access of our research results.
