Employees of the Institute—Prof. Dr. Predrag Marković, Dr. Vladimir Petrović, Dr. Ivana Pantelić, and Dr. Luka Filipović—took part in the annual European International Studies Association (EISA) conference. The conference was held from September 1st to 4th, 2026, at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE) in Lisbon. Representatives of the Institute presented the paper titled ‘Bottom-Up Approach to Reengagement and Reintegration: The Case of Novi Pazar University and Student Marches in Serbia’ as part of session S 24, ‘Enlargement in a State of War and Geopolitical Tensions.’ The speakers and discussants for this session were Prof. Dr. Morten Bøås and Prof. Dr. Pernille Rieker from the Norwegian Institute for International Affairs (NUPI). The session was organized to present the findings of the project “Re-engaging with neighbours in a state of war and geopolitical tensions (2024–2026),” which is part of the EU-funded Horizon series. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Petrović addressed the general consortium of academic institutions involved in the project’s implementation, updating representatives on the research accomplished in Serbia so far. Dr. Luka Filipović participated in a podcast on September 4, 2026, aimed at promoting the ReEngage project.
