Organized by the Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw and the Institute of Contemporary History, an international scientific conference will be held on October 8-9, 2026 on the topic: Borders and Identities: Social and Political Changes in Eastern Europe and the Balkans during the 20th Century. The conference will be attended by 52 prominent scholars from Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania. The conference will be held at the premises of the Institute of Contemporary History at Trg Nikola Pašića 11 in Belgrade. The conference was financially supported by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the Polish Institute in Belgrade.
