September 2026: International Scientific Conference “Yugoslav-Polish Relations in the 20th Century”

Organized by the Institute for Contemporary History and the Faculty of History at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz (Poland), an international scientific conference titled “Yugoslav-Polish Relations in the 20th Century” was held on September 24–25, 2026. Thirty-six distinguished scholars from Serbia, Poland, and North Macedonia participated in the event. The conference took place in the conference hall of the Hotel Grad Beograd at Savski Trg 7 in Belgrade. Financial support for the conference was provided by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia and the Polish Institute in Belgrade. At the opening ceremony, participants were welcomed by Lech Konczak, Director of the Polish Institute in Belgrade; Bojan Dimitrijević, Deputy Director of the Institute for Contemporary History; and Paweł Wawryszuk, Cooperation Coordinator from Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Following the conclusion of the conference, an excursion to Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci was organized for the participants on September 26.
