This conference was organized by the National Museum of Leskovac, together with the Institute for Contemporary History, in order to reexamine the cultural and historical heritage of Serbia’s South, placing particular emphasis on examining the roots of the economic, demographic, and cultural depression this region has been undergoing, and charting potential ways out.
