January 31, 2020: Institute Day celebrated

Traditionally, on January 31st the anniversary of the founding of the Institute for Contemporary History has been celebrated. The Institute's associates and many guests from other scientific and public institutions were present at the celebration. Director Prof. dr. Predrag J. Marković and Deputy Director Dr. Bojan B. Dimitrijević have held the opening speeches. After the opening remarks, Dr. Kosta Nikolić was awarded the Jubilee Award for thirty years of work at the Institute. At the end of the ceremonial part, the award "Dr Ljubomir Ljuba Petrović" was awarded for the best master's work in 2019 at the Department of History of Yugoslavia at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. The award was given to Vukašin Marković for his master's thesis entitled "Development of the 'Ivo Lola Ribar' Machine Industry in the Period from 1947 to 1990".
