February 15, 2022: Director of the Institute awarded the Gold Medal of Merit
Director of the Institute of Contemporary History prof. Dr. Predrag J. Markovic was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit. He received the medal together with other decorations, including the American actor Johnny Depp, the UN Special Representative for Yugoslavia from the 1990s Yasushi Akashi and other prominent individuals, today at the celebration of Statehood Day at the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.
Last week, director Markovic received the Vuk Award for his contribution to the development of culture. Both recognitions are important for the entire Institute of Contemporary History, whose director is a recognizable person in the Serbian public.
